Camp Winona After School Program (Camp Care)
Camp Winona’s After School Program or Camp Care, is a premier afterschool experience in our county. Students will be able to enjoy the Camp Winona’s programs and facility that is focused on development socially, environmentally and academically.
Camp Care:
The program is for ages 5-13. It is coed. The program will run from 2:45pm till 6:00pm each day.
Student-Campers will be able to canoe, participate in target sports, partake in nature studies and do some scientific testing. A minimum of 1 hour everyday is focused on fun, experiential, hands on education.
They will also have time each day for homework assistance. Student-Campers will attempt to finish their homework so they can head home without the work load.
Lastly, student-campers will be able to enjoy the outdoors. Outdoor recreational time for sports, hiking or time in our game garden will vary day to day but will enforce time outside weather permitting. If not outside campers will still enjoy productive recreational activities.
Registration:
Camp is registration is on a weekly basis. It will not operate on days the Volusia County Schools are not operating. If the program is not operating for other reasons camp will reach out to families otherwise. Registration can be done online or over the phone.
$65 per week for Y members
$70 per week for non-members (Ask about a membership your local Y)

Transportation:
Camp Winona offers transportation from McInnis Elementary to Camp Winona after the school bell. Homeschool or students from other programs can drop off at camp at 2:45pm-3:00pm.
Pick up is at Camp Winona. While parents can pick up at any time. Pick up is suggested from 5:30 -6:00pm. Parents who pick up after 6:01pm will be charged $10 and will be charged again for every ten minutes after.
Cancellation Policy:
If a student-camper does not go to school due to sickness they can not attend camp. If they are missing camp for any reason please notify camp. Camp will not prorate for missed days unless provided a doctors medical note. If a camper is removed due to behavioral issues there is no refund.
